Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus. I am overjoyed that you are visiting the First United Methodist Church of Westborough web site. On behalf of the Church family I warmly welcome you.

I was blessed to be appointed to serve as pastor on July 1, 2006.

Nancy and I have fallen in love with our new church family and with Westborough. We know God has wonderful plans for the church to grow. The commitment to serving the Lord has always been present at First UMC where people seek to worship the Lord, share the Good News of Jesus, and reach out to those in need.

I have been leading a United Methodist church since I was a student Pastor at Edgartown United Methodist Church and Chilmark Community Church on Martha's Vineyard in 1986. I served as a student pastor there until my graduation from Boston University School of Theology in 1990. After two years of full time ministry on Martha's Vineyard, I was appointed to First United Methodist Church of Hudson, MA. and served there from 1992 to 2000. Nancy, my wife, and I met at First UMC of Hudson. It did not take long for us to know that God had plans for us as a couple. In love with each other and both in love with the Lord, we were married on June 21, 1997. The wedding took place at Wesley UMC, Worcester MA, where my father served as pastor during my childhood and youth.

Nancy and I are proud parents of Shaw, Ashley, Ethan, and Max.

At First UMC we seek to inspire and uplift people each Sunday through dynamic worship. As United Methodists we are blessed with a wonderful heritage of fellowship, Christian education, mission, and worship. I invite you to come and experience the joy of worshipping the Lord and being part of a loving church family.

In this busy and hectic world each of us needs to have the foundation that belonging to a church provides. You are not alone in your desire to know the meaning and purpose of life and you walk not alone in facing the adversities of life.
